When students from the University of Cologne arrived in Pune for the second semester of our JIMES programme, their journey began with a structured induction that introduced them to the local academic environment. This was complemented by an intercultural workshop led by Dr. Amisha Jain, Head of the University of Cologne India Office, laying a strong foundation for meaningful exchange and collaborative learning.

This mobility semester truly reflects the essence of the BVDU–University of Cologne partnership: learning sustainability not only through theory, but through shared experiences, diverse perspectives, and real-world contexts across two continents.

The semester opened with engaging dialogue, field-based learning, and collective exploration. When students from different parts of the world learn together, they are better equipped to address the complex challenges that affect us all.
