Shaping Sustainable Futures – Jointly Across Continents

The Joint International Master of Environmental Sustainability (JIMES) is a unique, English-language Master of Science program jointly offered by the University of Cologne, Germany (UoC), and Bharati Vidyapeeth (Deemed to be University), Pune, India (BVDU). JIMES brings together science, society, and sustainability to prepare future changemakers for real-world environmental challenges. Students learn across two continents, engage in applied research, and build a global network in sustainability science.

Your journey into planetary thinking starts here.

Built on 17+ Years of Partnership

JIMES is more than a joint degree — it's the result of over 17 years of collaboration between the UoC and BVDU.
Fieldwork, shared teaching, and student exchange have built trust, friendship, and a global learning community that you’re now invited to join.
